4G Technology

The world is kept on changing, especially in telecommunication. In the early 90’s we were shocked by electronic mail that are free and faster then ordinary land mail. Then lately phone are growing as well, operating system for gadgets such as RIM (Royal in Motion), Android, Symbian, etc. But basically most of them run in GPRS, Edge, or 3G/3,5G network, now we’re shocked again with 4G network, new improvement of 3.5G network.

4G technology using the WiMax standard will enhance the global business world. Imagine if we could watch TV and video on mobile phones without halting. Financial transactions such as transfers and payments for purchase of goods or services can use a gadget phone. The flexibility and 24/7 connection would very handy and enhance productivity.

LTE (Long Term Evolution) is another name for 4G technology. Satellites are not needed in LTE. This technology greatly assist all parties in completing the work relating to data transfer.

Just like in 3G world, 4G technologies are divided into two camps, namely: the LTE and WiMax, they are not aligned with the GSM vs CDMA in terms of speed, although this time, AT & T and Verizon are moving towards LTE technology, while Sprint on WiMax .

There is considerable debate about whether the LTE and WiMAX meets all technical requirements that must be classified into a 4G technology. International Telecommunications Union show that the Sprint WiMax has to 4G standards, although this is still actually part of the 3G derivative, although the market using the Sprint WiMax 4G speed comparable to current speeds LTE.

WiMax is rooted in the broadband wireless access industry and supported by the IEEE, while the LTE standard has been created by a consortium of mobile companies. WiMax requires a new network to be built, while LTE is an evolution of the existing CDMA / HSPA network. Evolution, because the bandwidth is more wider, and the distance is 10 times wider, so it would effect on the costs or installation budget.
